The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Saturday dismissed the copy of a masters degree being associated with Lahore Direct
or General Shahzad Saleem as ‘fake’ and released what it said was the ‘real degree’.
The transcript of the degree issued by now defunct Al-Khair Univ
ersity from Azad Kashmir in 2002 had reportedly featured C
alibri font, which was not commercially available until five years later. However, NAB spokesperson Saturday released the ‘original copy’ of the transcript, which features the Arial font. The spokesperson claimed that the transcript had already been verified in 2003 but was deliberatel
y converted into C
alibri font by ‘corrupt’ elements to make the NAB official’s credentials controver
sial.
